N5000 NOTE HAS COME TO STAY---CBN

DESPITE criticisms by economists and financial experts over the planned introduction of a higher bill of N5000 note to the Nigerian economy  next year, the spokesman of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mr. Ugo  Okarafor has said the apex bank would go ahead with the plan, stressing that it was aimed at preventing the current dollarization of the Nigerian economy.
Okorafor who provided this new impetus to the on-going debate also maintained that

CHARLY BOY IS NOT MY SON SAYS FATHER

In this interview with the Nigeria’s foremost legal luminary, Justice Chukwudifu Oputa,  gives a careful  explanation  on why Charlyboy is not his son.  This is among other national issues the justice had raises in this interview.
Excerpts
You have been quite for a while now, we used to know you as the Socrates of the Nigerian Bar Sir, what have you been doing?
Resting.  That is what retirement is all about, resting after having an active life and trying to get ideas from writing books. Since I retired, I have written two or three books. As you can see, I have them on my desk here and many others in my Library. You need to read them. They are good.
These days, you shuttle between Abuja and Oguta, what is good in your village?
Have you been to Oguta? If you have been to Oguta you will not call it a village.  Well, it does not matter what you call it,  Oguta is Oguta. That’s where I am born and you cannot run away from your birth place.  I grew up there and went to school there before I went to college in Oguta, CKC to Yaba higher college to Achimota, from where I proceeded to Britain.
How old is the Justice now?

MY OPINION: THE SACK OF POWER MINISTER AND THE FUTURE OF PHCN,

I was so surprised, when I heard that the minster of power, Prof Barth Nnaji bowed out of office. I thought we could only find such an attitude only in developed nations. Some media houses called it “resignation”; Majority of PHCN staff tagged it “sack”, while an average lay man on the street couldn’t find where to pitch his tent in between those two words. So, weather it was a sack or resignation, the fact remains that an office seat was made empty and a vacuum was created. In which the prof acknowledged he did voluntarily. But I believe they all ball down to interest from various quarters. Prof Barth

HOW A LITTLE INNOVATION CAN TRANSFORM YOUR SKILL

Have you ever imagined why those who are referred to as body guards are usually taller and bigger in sizes than the men they are paid to protect? They deliberately engage in some body building exercises to achieve this. They do this to win a psychological war whenever they are in the midst of people. You feel intimidated and left with no option but to stay clear of their path. But the amazing thing is that, the same size of bullet that can kill a day old baby can also drop them. In short, you do not even need to go through a rigorous experience to hit your target due to their sizes.

This is because the might of muscle can only intimidate and create fear among people but cannot withstand the test of time. Therefore, those who feed absolutely from the effort of their muscles do not really go far in life. Please, do not get me wrong. I am not nullifying the fact

Do Madrid fans want  Mourinho to leave the club? Then,  who will be in charge? Perhaps Pep guardiola!!!!  Madrid fans in Spain are those kind of people who celebrate new signing more than trophy! If you doubt, just take a look at how they approached to stadium while presenting Ronaldo, Kaka, Beckham… and lot more. But see how poorly  they support their team in a match at Madrid.

EL CLASSICO: JOSE MOURINHO AND THE SANTA CLAUS THAT GAVE HIM A BREATHING SPACE

The game that should have been concluded psychologically in the first leg on Thursday night, was given a false hope by an August Santa Claus ( Victor Valdez). It started on a high note as everyone had predicted, in which FCBarcelona took over the mid field as in their usual custom. Of course, Jose’s boys would always have their counter attacks as occasions demand. But their defense seemed to be a little fortified, even though more bits of luck could be viewed around their goal post in the first half of the game. To my shocker, Cristiano  Ronaldo proved his

60% OF OUR UNIVERSITY LECTURERS DO NOT HAVE DOCTORATE DEGREES----PRESIDENT JONATHAN

President Goodluck Jonathan has said that 60 per cent of the lecturers in Nigerian universities do not have doctorate (PhD) degrees.
The President stated this in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, while interacting with 100 beneficiaries of the state’s scholarship programme on Tuesday.
President Jonathan, a PhD holder in Zoology lamented the situation saying “about 60 per cent of lecturers don’t have PhDs and we reject it.”

OUR OPINION: BOKOHARAM, THE CONSEQUENCE OF A DECISION MAKING OF THE NORTH

What goes round comes round as the old saying claims. It is only left for those concerned to take the bull and the course of their regions by the horn, if the nation Nigeria must remain one as we hypocritically profess. The foundation of the persistence menace popularly called Boko Haram, was laid in Nigeria long time ago, right from the era of indirect rule by the British. When a philosophy is championed out of selfish interest and ignorance, without craving for what is substantial and the consequences that we may have to live with for the rest of our lives, everyone would be in danger just as we are experiencing today as a people.
When a man decides to hang on a high tension cable or the cable accidentally drops on him, I do not think the resultant effects of the two scenarios would be different from each other. It is a lesson for the current generation to learn from so that we do not raise children that will pronounce curses on us in our graves. In one of my recent general evening discussions with some great minds,

There is speculation that they paid for her plane ticket and promised to pay for her hotel as well. Only Cynthia knows if this is true. Whatever the truth is

5 ESSENTIALS TO HAVE THE BEST OF HIM IN YOUR RELATIONSHIP/MARRIAGE (EDITED)

1. Do not drag his ego in the mud but package and nurture it for him: Vasti did it. But never lived to complete the story .By nature, an average man is proud. He has this thing called ego. Even though, many of them will disagree. It is psychological. He likes to feel big and pompous. He wants to pay for everything
at the grocery. He doesn’t mind if he puts you on the plane and come home by road from Abuja. Buy your Shawama and not be able to afford a donut for himself. Buy your Brazilian hair but fight over N300 with his barber. Get you a blackberry porche but go about with a rubber band Visafone etc ( just joking). That is his nature. He was made that way. He was created first. So, he wants to always play the role of a big brother. He is like a lion. He wants to conquer his world all the time. Let him dictate the pace, let him feel important and you will always have his best. Challenge his ego, he will not only take advantage of you but also dump you in the end. Remember, he listens and takes advice from his friends than you do in your world.

2. Do not threaten his headship: Let him remain the head but you must not go below the neck. Don't go below the neck in the sense that, in as much as he sees

I AM THE ONLY ONE---JOSE MOURINHO

Mourinho titled himself a “Special One” when he left Porto to take over at Chelsea in 2004 after winning two Portuguese titles, the Champions League and the UEFA Cup during his tenure in Oporto.

He has lived up to the billing by progressing two Premier League titles at Chelsea, two Serie A titles and the Champions League with Inter Milan and the Spanish La Liga with Real Madrid.
He has never failed to pick up a trophy in a calendar year during his time a manager.
