PMB's APPOINTMENTS AND WHY I STILL INSIST ON SOME MEASURES OF BALANCE FOR NOW

I commented in one of my freelance posts yesterday on the need for the President to carry all the regions along by giving them a sense of belonging especially in his appointment for now. I have received various challenges on it even up till this morning.

One young man referred to it as "pettiness" saying that there were more issues bothering the country than tribalism. I read his comment all over again for me to deduce if he actually made the comment for the sake of making a comment or may be I should recommend a short course for him in sociology.
To be fair to the young man, he is absolutely

BABATUNDE FASHOLA, THE POOR BOY IN THE EYE OF THE STORM

He who desires to eat pork will not only wrestle with the pig, he also must win the battle.

It was an afternoon campaign in Osun state organised by APC to ursher in Governor Aregbesola for the 2nd term. Music and various speeches were being rendered one after the other. But the major part of the whole campaign exercise could not commence since the banner of development had not arrived. Suddenly, there was a noise of a chopper hovering in the sky. I guess many could have thought it was a normal security routine patrol until the chopper began to descend.
When it finally landed. Guess who? It was not the APC Chairman, neither was it the Jagaban of Burdillion but the symbol of development himself , Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola.
The people at the arena gave a shout. Even their governor could have been jealous.
As he was alighting from the chopper and walking towards the podium, Governor Aregbesola took the micro phone and started the praise. That is the governor of Lagos state, the symbol of excellence, the banner of the party, the restorer of hope, the role model etc. There was noise everywhere. And Governor

Fola Ojo

A swarm of the bigwigs of the All Progressives Congress were chaperoned to Osogbo, the capital of Osun State by their then presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari. It was November 27, 2014 during the second term inauguration of Rauf Aregbesola as governor. Standing on the huge stage, party top shots took turns to say something about their candidate and the March 28 presidential election.

I browsed around to see who was and was not present on the VIP stand. I didn’t see Babatunde Fashola, the then Governor of Lagos State; and I began to wonder why. About an hour into the pomp, a helicopter hovered in the skies over the stadium; and someone whispered into my ears that that was the Lagos Governor in the

BUHARI AND WAR ON CORRUPTION

Our message is clear and straight forward. What we preach is justice, equality and fairness. Nothing more.Treating alleged criminals and suspects equally is the hallmark of our tweets. Hypocrisy is an alien to what we believe in every nation building. No man endorses or celebrates corruption except the one who deserves a room in the Psychiatric world.

Every kobo missing in our vault must be recovered from pockets that they were stolen into irrespective of colour, tribe, race or any political affiliation. Justice must be done and seen done to all suspected, searched, found, investigated, tried and prosecuted in accordance to the rule of law we all profess to keep at every point in time.

Telling us some are now "born again without returning the old stolen wealth" because they now sing your rhythm, we will continue to refer you as HYPOCRITE and HINDRANCE to this war. Spare no one now lest they grow to become monster for everyone to nurture later on. We won't sit on the same table analyzing such a nonsensical and pointless idea. We will not meet at any point to rank corruption either in the open or closet.

President Buhari is aged. Nothing should scare him again. Not even death. There is no other time for him to make his name engraved on the rock of history than now. Kill corruption across boards including those who financed your campaign. Nigeria will never for get you for that and God himself would be happy you did.

Then, we can now join hands as Nigerians to say FREEDOM AT LAST

"Spare Not" are the words for the President.

God bless Nigeria and give the President the required wisdom.

STILL ON FASHOLA N78.3M WEBSITE SCANDAL

"People want the truth, but when it's negative all you receive is anger in return. People don't want to believe what they don't want to hear. I call them people hypocrites".

Somebody said, why the noise against Fashola? What about the PDP governors that stole Billions? Then I asked him a simple question. " Will you not correct your children if they misbehave just because your neighbors' children acted exactly same way yesterday"? He just kept quiet.

The major problem of Nigeria is not the activities of miscreants we see on our streets. It has nothing to do with ignoramus who prefer to sell their votes for a penny or that young hoodlum that carts away ballot boxes at every election.

Nigeria's problem is her elites, civil society, the lawyers, elder statesmen and including some of those called men of God. They have always failed in telling the truth. They go to their dinner, book lunch, dedication etc but never bold enough to tell these office holders the truth. They choose those they call thieves and those they refer as saints.

They can easily castigate Gov Ayodele Fayose, nail James Ibori to the wall, organise a press conference against Alamieyesia etc but they find it comfortable wining and dining with obvious and corrupt robbers before their eyes.

They even went a mile by championing that any public officer can steal as long as he is working. That is how eroded mindsets have been and yet they want corruption to disappear from our system.

In as much as we are not permitted morally and legally to call anyone a thief until the court says so, the entire world are still waiting for the response of the former Governor of Lagos State in respect of this alleged scandal.

I do not know about you. I want a Nigerian society where you will do my work very well. Yet! you will not steal my money. The President through the EFCC should step in in this case for posterity sake.

Nothing as sweet as saying the truth.

God bless Nigeria

The “Stoning” Of Rotimi Amaechi By Remi Oyeyemi

“You have stoned nobody; that is why we are stealing.........”

- Rotimi Amaechi, former Governor of Rivers State in PUNCH December 15, 2013
“If you don’t take your destiny in your hands, we will go and other leaders will come and continue stealing.”

- Rotimi Amaechi, former Governor of Rivers State in PUNCH December 15, 2013
“The limits of tyrants are prescribed by the endurance of those whom they oppress.”
- Frederick Douglas (1817 – 1895)

Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi has created a reputation for himself as being against impunity and corruption. He has at one time encouraged Nigerians to stone those of them who parade themselves as leaders as evident in the quote above. He believed that the political leaders, himself inclusive, have been taking Nigerians for a ride. He believed and still probably believes that he and his fellow politicians have been stealing our commonwealth because we let them.

He felt that until we begin to stone them as thieves are supposed to be stoned, they would continue to steal, loot and cart away our commonwealth without let or hindrance. Essentially, he is echoing Frederick Douglas that their tyranny as thieves and professional kleptomaniacs would only end when Nigerians are fed up with them and'
