Following the State of Emergency declared by President Goodluck
Jonathan, Tuesday, no fewer that 2,000 military personnel, and hardware
including fighter jets have been deployed to Maiduguri, the Borno State
capital. News portal,

residents said in the state said they saw military aircraft landing at
the Maiduguri International Airport and the air strip at the Air Force
base in the state capital, adding that the number of military personnel
deployed to the state far outnumbered those that came during the
