PRESIDENT BUHARI EITHER SWALLOWS HIS EGO OR SINK THE NATION IN HIS PRIDE

3 things he must begin to do now.

The first step to any national deliverance and relevance is first telling ourselves the TRUTH. Or else we will continue to live in the bubble as some are doing at the moment.

Pastor Tunde Bakare made it clear on Sunday that the FG was currently helpless and not knowing what to do. He quoted the Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Elrufai who said "Nigeria's situation is beyond repairs".
I put it to you with all sense of responsibility that most of the things you read in the media these days especially on corruption allegations here and there are good to cleanse the system. But the charge against Dasuki is not the reason you don't have fuel in your car at the moment. The arrest of Dokpesi has nothing to do with the headline of Business Day of yesterday. They are just mere issues to keep us busy.

The engine of this country has
not started yet. Until the kick of your economy is ignited, you are still on a spot. This is exactly where we are at the moment. Anyone can choose to disagree but the statistics on my table cannot lie.
As an Economist and Finance person, I can tell you categorically that the indices out there are not encouraging. Only a fool will envy the President at this moment.
Any government at this time of oil fall and whose fuel subsidy is taking over 80% of its supplementary budget will not secure a future except if something is urgently done..
I have said it couple of times that Jonathan was not as bad as he was being painted but some guys who claimed to love the nation but wolves in sheep clothing in and outside his government including opposition did the damage.

Fuel subsidy is the number one bane of our development as a nation. Until it goes especially now, you won't have good roads and those clamouring for 5K monthly will forever remain in wonderland. So, the issue now is how are you going to remove a subsidy that you once publicly said never existed is the first magic that will begin the liberation of this nation? Every one who witnessed OCCUPY NIGERIA will understand the gravity of that protest in Ojota, Ibadan,Abuja etc. This is what politics does to our general well-being and security. It was a war between an unreliable government and unconstructive opposition in 2012 while the gullible governed danced in the middle. The same Bokoharam that some saw as a political score point is now almost uncontrollable. Every pin you pick on the floor of Borno today is most likely to be a bomb. So, Mr President be bold and let subsidy go.
2. The earlier PMB realises that the country is more divided now than it was under Jonathan, the faster he would do to mend the division and get the required support he needs to execute his dream and vision if they exist. He must calm the East by all means and relax the West. He needs the unity to sail through this time. Or else, his policies will be destructively criticised and sabotaged to communicate a message. If you think I am wrong, kindly make an unofficial visit to twitter street. When we raised the issue of appointment balancing few months back, this is one of the things we saw coming then. He must suppress his ego and save the country.

3. Free the economy a little. Even China had to devalue her currency. Our production capacity at the moment cannot sustain our direct influence on the free movement of Dollar-Naira relationship. The earlier we realise this, the better it is. We must take risk. This our extreme carefulness will continue to distort FDI and attract more of JP Morgan hammers. In the end, we will have a local capacity that won't be enough to go round. This will create more inflation and unemployment both in long and short run.

These must be looked into now. Or else before you know it, four years will be gone and the problems will still remain.

God bless Nigeria
