Arewa Group Passes Vote Of Confidence On Dogara

The Arewa Media Rights Forum has joined different groups in passing a Vote of Confidence on the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon Yakubu Dogara.
The Forum made its position known in a communique signed and issued by its chairman, Mallam Umar Bako, at the end of a roundtable on Wednesday, where it deliberated on the State of the Nation and the raging controversy over allegations of budget padding in
the House of Representatives.
The group said it has critically reviewed the situation in the House and could only come to a conclusion that the man at the centre of the whole scenario, Hon Abdulmumin Jibrin is only acting a script mainly aimed at destabilising the House, which has enjoyed a focused and purposeful leadership for over one year now.
It urged the Speaker not to be derailed in his determination to provide clear-cut leadership for the House.

The group also enjoined Hon Abdulmumin Jibrin and his co-travellers to let go their personal interest and consider the overall wellbeing of Nigerians.
“We hereby call on the detractors of Speaker Dogara to leverage on the his good performance in the last one year to support him with their brilliant ideas and join hands with him to move the House forward,” the statement said.
