Today, I have seen men and women lifting various sections of our laws
to suit their side of the argument on the clamp down on judges. It is
so interesting that we all are now acting like lawyers. Exactly same way
we did months ago as economists of FOREX/DEVALUATION. But today we
have brought an entire economy into recession. We should all be blamed
including myself. Let everyone stay where he is called. It is the first
law of success and fulfilment.Why would any sane mind be against the arrest of corrupt elements in our system especially reckless judges if there are no root causes? Have we all tried to search and analyse those causes? Rather it seems we are just interested in symptoms.
Has this government lived by example in your own definition of
sanity and fairness in the last 17 months? You think if DSS had gone to the house of Chief of staff for instance to pull down his doors for various allegation of corruption around his neck, do you think anyone will mind even if you shoot any corrupt judge at sight? We really need to understand that people are social beings full of emotions.
Do you think if the government had carried out those investigations request of the people and some civil society like SERAP on Buratai, do you think anyone would have any moral ground to challenge any attack on judges?
A government that was given applauds for setting up a committee to investigate arm procurement from 2007 - 2015. The result came out and Dambazzu was alleged to have be collecting 1Billion Naira monthly under the last so called ill-fated regime of Jonathan. What has the government done to him in terms of investigation? And to make a mess of our collective intelligence as a nation, Lai muhammed came out to tell us that the committee only just carried out investigation btw 2011- 2015 and in which he had forgotten that he once said 24 hours earlier in a press conference that the report the committee submitted was from 2007- 2015. He shifted the goal post suddenly when Sahara Reporters made it clear that Dambazzu was indicted btw 2007 to 2011. What are we talking about here for Christ sake?
Pls can we do a little questioning here? 1. Some of my mentors here that God has blessed with the house of their own. Did you build the house from the roof and not foundation? How come Lai muhammed came out and told us the committee only did 2011-2015 first?is it not high time Nigerians began to ask sincere questions? 2, where is the committee today? Do you think some people are still sitting some where investigating arms procurement again? Interesting really.
A government that withdrew a forgery case in middle of trial, do we still need to be told that we are just being taken for a ride? Common. A political party that issued a public statement that the padding allegation of the house should be treated as a party affair, don't we think that something is wrong?
A regime that claimed to have been given a list in America of those who stole our common wealth and that deserved to be hanged, 17 months down the line, we are yet to see the names of the people. Has the list been torn probably becos some elements in APC were also indicted?
Silence breeds all manners of issues,doubt and suspicion in governance.
Same regime claimed he had a list of those who stole our crude oil. Where are they today? So you now expect everyone to take you serious in your corruption war that it is not sectional when u clamp down on corrupt judges that seemed to have favoured opposition ?
Is the government so handicapped that it cannot live by example? I have told people around me that the first liberation a nation needs is not infrastructure but the political awareness and participation of her people. This is what I think Nigerians are now awake into including myself. But unfortunately, the government has not yet gotten it that everything that is said will be on record. It is not about APC or PDP but the sanity of Nigeria.
This government is struggling today becos this house was built of lies. Therefore she needs lies to keep it going. So unfortunate that lies don't build. It only worsens situation. This is where our deliverance lies as a people. The truth. It is not about Jonathan or anybody When people voted for Jonathan in 2011 because he had no shoes , I was one of the few that didn't vote for him. But it should not be a problem to me in saying the truth today.
My submissions may seem opposing most times, I will rather stick to sinners than hypocrites. Because a sinner can still obtain mercy .but only one destiny awaits hypocrites, Lake of fire. That is what both APC and PDP are to me for now.
Let the government start living by practical examples. We must drop this emotion and get this government to work.This should be our campaign as a people if it must be well with Nigeria. When we treat the root cause, symptoms will go naturally. Sirs and Mas I put you on tag not necessarily for comment but becos you are a role model to me in one way or the other. Thank you all.
