Donald Trump accepts nomination, tells Americans 'I am your voice'

The writer of Donald Trump's acceptance speech for the Republican presidential nomination lauded Trump for sticking to "his vision" and "his words" after the candidate's wife drew fire earlier this week for delivering a speech similar to that of Michelle Obama.

"[Trump's] involved from the point of the blank screen to the very end, at every single level and works on it scrupulously," said speechwriter Stephen Miller during a Fox News interview with Sean Hannity immediately following Trump's delivery of his speech that closed the GOP convention on Thursday evening. "The level of involvement is really extraordinary. It's his vision, it's his words, it's his ideas for the country."

After Hannity mentioned that Trump spoke for "well over an hour," Miller quipped "the speech probably set the record for the most applause ever of any convention speech."
"I don't know the number...but I don't think anybody but Donald Trump could have given a speech like that," said Hannity in response.
