PDP lacks credibility to criticise Buhari on economy – APC

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has said that the PDP lacks the moral basis and credibility to comment or condemn the government of President Muhammadu Buhari on the economy after the mess the successive government under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) left behind.
The party further posited that latest attack by the PDP points to its insensitive plot to deflect attention from the voodoo economics and reckless fiscal policies the country was subjected to during its 16-year rule.
This was contained in a release signed by the party’s national secretary, Mai Mala Buni and made available to journalists in Abuja, while assuring that President Muhammadu Buhari APC-led administration remains solidly committed to resuscitating the economy in the quickest possible time and in the best interest of the people.

The party further blamed the PDP stating that “warning signs were glaring to the immediate-past administration but it chose the path of economic sabotage by looking the other way and squandering the country’s commonwealth – a reckless decision that has brought the country to its knees”
While assuring that there will be light at the end of the tunnel, the APC said that President Buhari’s government has embarked on well- thought economic agendas, policy actions, appropriate fiscal, governance, and socio-political reforms to revamp the economy and tackle the nation’s current challenges in the short to long term.
While underscoring the fact, the governor of Jigawa State, Alh Badaru Abubakar laid the blame of the current recession on the doorstep of the past governments while pointing out that past administrations did not embrace the culture of saving during the time of plenty.
