I LEFT NIGERIA A DEBT FREE NATION---OBASANJO

Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, in the Nigeria Leadership Initiative yesterday in Lagos made a profound statement that he still believed in the unity and future of Nigeria. He said “when I came on board in 1999, the reserve of this country was $3.7 million and we were taking $3 billion every year to manage our debt and as at then, we owed about $35 billion . By the time I left the government in 2007, our reserve
was over $45 billion after paying all our debt.”
He noted that the leadership problems in Africa have been attributed to many causes, “the most significant of which is leadership inadequacies.”  “A  leader must not only lead, he must be seen, accepted and trusts to be decisively leading” the former President stated.Pls share
