YOU HAVE GOT THE QUALITY BUT LACK EXPOSURE-----THE WAY OUT

OUR DEEPEST FEAR IS NOT THAT WE ARE INADEQUATE BUT THAT WE ARE TOO POWERFUL BEYOND MEASURE.IT IS OUR LIGHT AND NOT DARKNESS THAT MOST FRIGHTENS US.

Do you know that women with few clothes and pair of shoes do not struggle with what to wear comparing with those that have them plenty? Have you also wondered why some of those we perceive to be so brilliant in our classes do not make good grades? The man that starves at times isn't that man that does not have what to eat but one that has his table full of varieties.It is a clash of choices. Then, isn’t that an indication that having too many “upstairs” at times could be a disadvantage in disguise, especially

when those qualities cannot find  appropriate means of expression? One of the major reasons why a lot of us have not really done so well on our jobs, businesses, relationships, ministry, career,  visions  and especially in our gifting, is not because we do not have the technical know her or we can not develop ourselves, but because we are too talented, skilled, exposed, and intelligent. We are just too blessed in many aspects of life that we find it so difficult to define SPECIFICALLY who we are and what we are called to do.  So, those qualities of ours that are supposed to take us on a route to Eldorado have been choked up at the entrance gate of our discovery. This makes us jerks of all trades but masters of none. This is referred to as IDENTITY CRISIS.

Until those skills/qualities of ours are put in proper alignments, we will not seize to operate as mediocre. This is because; “the labor of fools wears them out, just because they cannot find their way to the city”. There is a city for every man who has discovered himself. This is called the MARKET PLACE. At the point of specialization, only one skill is allowed to triumph. This is our main skill especially that , which we love doing. Does that make all other skills acquired irrelevant? Absolutely Not! Other skills and qualities possessed are expected to complement the effort of our main skill as supports if we must be outstanding in any of our endeavors.Versatility without a proper control kills identity. It is not something worth celebrating when someone tells you that, you are good in many things. It kills excellence in a man. It is an ideology of people of lower mindset. Because we have others that are good in many things as well. Rather, celebrate uniqueness and specialization.

This is what makes you different from others. The fact that you can write does not make you a good writer and the fact that you play football always, doesn’t in any way make you a Lionel Messi. You just have to be outstanding at what you do. A genius is not just that young boy in our  physics room , but everyone who has identified what he can do best and also doing it uniquely including a cobbler/fashion designer  on my street.This applies to all other gifts and talents of a man. By nature and design, an average man possesses more than a single talent. These gifts are in their raw form at birth. Some can talk, consult,write, design, teach, sing,  train,dance, organize etc, but the one that is put under training, development, and constant practice out of these gifts, is what becomes your area of specialization and that will bring food on your table in the long run. Some ladies are best at trading. Yet, they are forwarding resumes around offices. It leaves me with no option but to just laugh.

And specialization does not come until you have been through trainings, lectures etc. You need a mentor, both far and near including the reading of quality books (including the Holy Bible) that are relevant to your gifts, talents and general endeavors. By so doing, you would have been able to harness your various gifts and talents in proper alignments. Then, what you are really called to do will surface and fulfillment will follow automatically.

HOW DO YOU KNOW YOUR AREA OF SPECIALIZATION?

Out of many things you love doing, which of them do you derive most pleasure? What can you render free of charge (Even though, you are not expected to be a Santa Claus except in a Christmas season) or the one that people commend you most? Who knows? This might just be what you are called to do. I am not saying challenges will not show up while trying to sail your way through, but I can guarantee you safety in the end.

Go in it with absolute faith in God. Because as many of them that embarked on the journey without faith in Him returned back with evil report.
