20 soldiers, including four officers and sixteen men of the Nigerian
army have been arraigned for court martial at the Military Media Centre,
Maiduguri, over charges of gun-running and murder.
Some of those involved were charged for selling arms while others were suspected of committing murder and human rights abuses.
Inaugurating the court martial, the commander in charge of 7 Division
of the Nigerian Army, Brigadier Victor Ezudwu, urged the president of
the court and its members against unnecessary adjournments, while seeing
to it that justice is done.
